Wow!! What a list. Not surprised as GF2 goes above and beyond every year. At least one Abby event does. Is that list an invite list or is that what's confirmed. Regardless, as Bingo said, even half that list is amazing. Looking forward to the event this weekend.VIMY21 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:55 amThis is the list for now. The last few years have seen quite an impressive number of military statics fly in for the event.
I wonder if anyone knows what might be confirmed for this year?
thanks

Hello Guys and Gals,
I’ve been a lurker on these forums for many years, never choosing to partake in the online discussions but rather to just enjoy them. Today I have decided to join in and hopefully I can add some information that some may find interesting. A big reason why I decided to join today was to correct some info posted earlier as to what is participating in this weekends wonderful event at YXX this coming weekend.
While I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade the list posted earlier has many inaccuracies. Much of what is listed will not have “wheels on the ground” in Abbotsford this weekend. I hope this doesn’t disappoint anyone after that first “adrenaline rush” of seeing the previous posted list. Although some of it is accurate.
Sorry but no F-15’s, Hornets or T-38’s. Nor KC-10 among others.
Regardless it should be a great weekend. Let’s just hope the weather decided to cooperate a bit more than it’s expected too.

The invite list was much larger this one that posted was from a volunteer that's been with the event for many years. Thought I'd share it with everyone and I put "subject to change" in hopes no one takes the list as point blank. Obviously, no list is accurate until after the event. I guess we'll see how accurate this list is this weekend.theairshowdude wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:34 pmWow!! What a list. Not surprised as GF2 goes above and beyond every year. Is it possible to get a list of what is tentatively confirmed by any chance?ScottyPilot wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 11:53 pm Sorry but no F-15’s, Hornets or T-38’s. Nor KC-10 among others.

I know this event has a centralized theme to promote aviation to women, which is a good cause regardless of what military hardware shows up. But hey since my nephews can't partake in any of the free rides on helicopters I'm sure they can at least be excited about potentially looking forward to seeing some of their favourite military aircraft arrive for the weekend.

Saw on social media there's at least one Cobra on the ground overnight in Everett. Could be headed up today

Any word on what military assets actually touched down for The Sky's No Limit - She is Anything!?

Was a great event this past weekend in Abbotsford. Sucks about the weather and cancellations but those are uncontrollable. Was a great time talking to the crews. For those wondering the event was supposed to have Growlers (according to the VAQ-132 crew that was there) but had to cancel due to safety concerns due to an incident that happened at another show but still happy the crew was able to drive up and make it. F-16's from Tulsa cancelled due to the crew being sick. 1 of the A-10's cancelled due to a pilot being sick but still happy 3 came. 1 of the UH-1Y's broke on the way here. 422TES that sent a crew were going to send a variety of planes (sounded like an F-16D, F-15E and A-10) but got denied however still was great their crews made it and they were a joy to talk to.
Now, after talking to all the wonderful crews this past weekend I was able to confirm that the Grissom KC-135, Idaho ANG A-10's and Travis C-5 all have Abby booked on their calendars and they will be here for static. The Marine helos PAO is reaching out to Abby and they want to come but it's up to the airshow to confirm if they want them.
