2019 Dayton Air Show
The 2019 Dayton Air Show has announced that the Thunderbirds will be performing at the show.
I know it's early, but what do you guys think we'll get for other demos?
Any guesses?
Thanks,

It'll be awhile before you get any sort of word on that as the 2018 season is still drawing to a close. The demos, of course, will be announced during the ICAS Convention in December. You'll probably get word of a few civilian and warbird acts in November as Dayton seems to roll that way with announcements. A lot of shows won't start signing contracts until September or October (they'll have verbal commitments but won't officially sign) until the October-December timeframe (depending on when their fiscal year ends and when their shows are).AndrewB2003 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 2:50 am The 2019 Dayton Air Show has announced that the Thunderbirds will be performing at the show.

Ryan is really great about getting the following year's forums up in a timely manner. Look for a 2019 Air Show Discussion Thread sometime in the next two months (probably) and this discussion will unfold there.

On October 15, the Dayton Air Show announced the additions of the British Sea Harrier, Shockwave Jet Truck, GEICO Skytypers, Skip Stewart, and Jacquie B.

Seems as though Dayton is fortunate enough to be one of the air shows that will be getting the Navy legacy flight. The navylegacy.org website says it should be a Super Hornet along with Paul Wood in his A-4 Skyhawk. However, Nostalgic Flights stated on Facebook this morning that they will be participating in the legacy flight at the Dayton air show with their AU-1 Corsair. Not sure if this just means navylegacy.org isn't current and the AU-1 replaced the A-4 already or perhaps there will be a 3 ship formation which seems highly unlikely. But, there seems to be more of a focus on the Navy Legacy flights this year so maybe a change is to have some 3 ship flights similar to what has been seen in some of the Air Force Heritage flight displays.

Dayton has added C-17 and KC-135 "demos" and says they will perform partly together, presumably a simulated refueling pass.
Not bad additions!

Wow, the schedule for the Dayton Air Show is looking better than ever!
Can't wait to see if they make any other additions to the show lineup!
Thanks,

Looks like the Super Hornet has been added to the website. It only mentions the Corsair for the Legacy Flight.EricP wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 6:34 pm Seems as though Dayton is fortunate enough to be one of the air shows that will be getting the Navy legacy flight. Saw that too. I reached out to the Dayton Air Show "team" not long after that post to see if they would clarify and received no response. Happens every time I ask them a question. Don't know why they even have social media if they won't answer fans/patrons...although, this time it may have been because they hadn't "announced" the legacy flight yet. Only took them about a month from when the legacy flights were released for Dayton to officially announce it on their social media platforms.kalamazookid wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 8:51 pmLooks like the Super Hornet has been added to the website. Yep, the static line up looks really good. I'd like to try and make it out for arrivals, I wish there was some way to know when the NASA S-3B would be coming in. It's on my most wanted list.
