This is amazing news! Been to this show the last two years and it was well put together and FREE. Adding the snowbirds and the hornet... WOW. 2019 is going to be a good year on the coast for airshows.

It’ll be interesting to see what the CF18 and Snowbirds shows consists of, since ZBB’s airspace only goes up to 2000 feet in a fairly small-radius control zone. With busy YVR terminal airspace directly overhead.
Maybe a waiver from Vancouver ATC, or possibly just some flybys. Time will tell

Rob Holland confirmed. Looks like this year is going to be one of the biggest for Boundary Bay, looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

It blows my mind that I have lived in Greater Vancouver all my life, and never heard of this event.
I live in Langley, so only about 20 km away.
Has it been mainly civilian aircraft, no military before this year?

Boundary Bay has had small military participation in the past from Canada but nothing significant. I know there has been a CH-124 Sea King SAR demo there in years past. Civilian wise they seem to attract some of the best on the west coast. Bud Granley and his son Ross are familiar faces to name a few. They also had Ace Maker perform in recent years if I can remember correctly. Always some warbirds too.
The show is growing and this year is sure to be one of the biggest with the CF-18 and Snowbirds. Best of all? It's free!
Edit: actually I don't think the T-33 at Boundary a couple years ago was Ace Maker, it likely was Tom Rogers private owned T-33.

The website http://czbbairshow.ca/ doesn't mention the Snowbirds or the CF-18 Demo team.
Neither does the Snowbird site http://www.rcaf-arc.forces.gc.ca/en/sno ... edule.page

It seems as though one of the Snowbirds (#10) I believe is from Delta, so this may be the reason that they are performing at Boundary Bay.

That is a strong possibility! I threw a posting up for the Snowbirds Comox Spring Training coming up on Wednesday and included this at the bottom of the post. Hopefully nobody minds me showing the lineup of BC talent here.
Snowbird 4 First Line Astern: Captain Scott Boyd (Burnaby, BC)
Snowbird 8 Opposing Solo: Captain Logan Reid (Victoria, BC)
Snowbird 10 Coordinator: Captain Arpit Mahajan (Delta, BC)
Commanding Officer: Lieutenant-Colonel Mike French (Langley, BC)
Avionics Technician: Corporal Geremey Quiambao (Surrey, B.C.)
This airshow at CZBB is going to be awesome!!!
