Westmoreland County Airshow May 25-26
The show posted on Facebook that a B52 Stratofortress will be flying over on Sunday only. This usually means it is making the rounds to other shows that day as well.

B-52 flyover was just confirmed for Sunday only around 1pm. Looking like a pretty nice lineup so hopefully the weather holds out for all attending.

Oops. I see we posted this update at the same time. I wonder if this same B-52 is hitting the Miami show. A bit of a hike, but if it flies over Latrobe around 1 I guess it could be down there around 3:30pm. I find it funny because the Barksdale B-52 pilot at Andrews said they weren't flying at any shows upcoming and then 2 weeks later one of their B-52's is making its rounds.

Has it been specified that this is a BD B52? Could be from MinotMattEv14 wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 5:15 pm Oops. I see we posted this update at the same time. The FB page said BD, but they also said the A-10 would be "performing" at the show, which they have since removed the "performing" part, changing it to at.
Matt, where was the B-52 at Andrews?? I was there Saturday and did not see it...find it hard to believe that I missed it on the ramp. Really wanted to see it up close.

Not Matt, but I was at the Andrews show. The B-52 was parked on the southern end of the static ramp around where That’s All Brother and other warbirds were parked. South end is towards where the tower and Presidential hangar are.

Like Eric said, it was a bit of a hike from where the buses dropped your off, but it was all the way down at the end. On a side note, there are now 4 Harriers on the ground at LBE. I assume 2 will be static and 2 for the demo team. It appears sadly the A-10 will only be static now as a previous post mentioned. Regardless I am looking forward to catching the practice before I head down to Miami from PIT for that show. Could be a loud weekend!

The lineup looks really good! I normally write this show off due to the terrible entry/exit traffic it generates. I remember many years when I was young watching this show from the side of 981 when traffic ground to a halt and we went nowhere during the entire show...more than once. But this lineup has me seriously considering attending.
I only hope Mother Nature cooperates. As of now Saturday is touch and go and Sunday looks terrible. Although today they were calling for severe storms most of the day and we only got a quick passing shower in the morning. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ah, thanks Eric. I didn't walk down that far this year, I assumed they would have had it front and center where the BONE was last time and since I didn't see it I didn't think it was worth walking that far with a 4 yo. Hope to catch it again sometime.
I got to see 2 of the harriers flying a route over Altoona yesterday afternoon, looking forward to practice today and the show sat...sunday does not look good :-/

Ready for practice!
The show posted a schedule, which is funny because their website spouts some BS about security preventing them from releasing one...
