P-51 Mustang "Moonbeam McSwine" from the Warbird Heritage Foundation at Waukegan, Illinois, will be the aircraft performing the "Heritage Flight" with the F-16. I thought the Skyraider was gonna be the Heritage bird?

Thunder says the 4 USAF Texan II's that were added yesterday will be flying in the show. Nice, rare, treat!

A couple cancellations announced just now. Good on the show for being upfront with them when so many others aren't!
We share the additions, we share the cancellations. The P-51D Mustang "Sierra Sue II" will no longer be able to attend this year's show. Also, due to a reduction in flying hours for the U.S. Navy, our recently added P-8 Poseidon has also cancelled. No need to fret.....more additions are coming soon!!

I agree with this, I know Thunder will make up for it with other additions too.RyanS wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2019 12:45 am A couple cancellations announced just now. Good on the show for being upfront with them when so many others aren't!

This is also nice to know that nothing else has cancelled so far, just those 2 off the huge list is great!!!

Not formally announced yet, but back down to 3 B-25's. Super Rabbit making metal. Thunder's got a little money back for their budget the past few days, maybe a little incentive for a twin-Merlin from OSH (or 2)

Thankfully it sounds like the pilot is doing ok and the aircraft is repairable, but presumably not before TOM

For any who haven't been following, the list was updated over the weekend. I believe the current list is spot on for what's been confirmed and dropped. The only plane I don't see on there that was announced (but not dropped from my knowledge) is Brad Deckert's Avenger.
Aside from this, I'm not sure what more we will be seeing in attendance on the warbird front. I'm still hoping for some OSH birds to make their way down. Tom Walsh said the budget is pretty topped out at this point, the most expensive Thunder to date! Considering 2 Corsair's they budgeted for were dropped I thought maybe those dollars could be used elsewhere. We will see...
Tom also said that more Canadian military statics should be surfacing soon. As fighter jets are pretty light right now, maybe the USAF will be sending a little more Thunder to Thunder in the coming weeks also. Nonetheless, very happy with the cargo contingent this year!
