Buck Roetman of Wild Horse Aviation has been added to the line up and will be performing at the show this year!
I believe the last time we saw Buck at Abbotsford was when he was flying with the Red Eagle Air Sports team.

Just joined the forum! In 1994 I was volunteering for show site security and remember the Blue Angels flying. I don't think I have missed a show since the late 70s! I enjoy monitoring the aircraft comms and have just purchased / upgraded my equipment for this years airshow season. What a thrill it will be to hear my beloved Snowbirds and the Blue Angels along with the other performers this year! It adds such a different dimension to watching the show and makea it that much more exciting!!! I have watched my Snowbirds fly throughout BC and am seeing on their website that they have some time free just before the Abbotsford Air show. Sure would be nice to see them over Vancouver's English Bay again or the White Rock pier! Looking forward to this year's show!!!

I noticed a couple of comments with regards to the lack of an airshow on Vancouver Island. If anyone is interested, the Snowbirds along with the CF 18 Hornet crews have their annual 2 week practice sessions in Comox at the end of April. Several flying sessions a day perfecting and honing their skills for the 2018 season! Also, if anyone is into discussing radio comms with me I would be delighted to hear from you - I am compiling my 2018 listings now - please PM me.

Website has added a few warbirds to the flying display. Nothing we haven't seen before, but still some beautiful aircraft:
A-1 Skyraider
F-8F Bearcat
TBM-3E Avenger
Also, some static displays added.....IN FEBRUARY!?!?
de Havilland Dragon Rapide
P-51D Mustang "Val Halla"
B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey"
Pretty cool start to the statics. Interesting that they would post them this early. With that said, a lot of time for things to change between now and August. Surprised to see Val Halla as a static and not on the flying display.

I hope Val-Halla flies, it would break tradition, as we are used to seeing her fly every year.

Really, when was the last time an Avenger performed?
I'm glad to see they might be taking the website a little more serious, which has been sloppy in the past few years IMO.

TBM Avenger was flying 2 years ago. Not sure about last year

You sure? My pics show a Skyraider, Bearcat, Spitfire, Mustang, and two Harvards for the warbirds. Could have flown on the Saturday and I missed it I suppose.
