Got some not-so-great shots from the Selfridge museum (still waiting for my zoom lens to come)
Best five dollar airshow I've ever been to!

Hi everyone!
I want to start by thanking the ASL team, in these difficult times, you have managed to put on a show of exceptional quality. The experience there was super enjoyable, and I was very lucky to be seated in the front row!
In my opinion, the F35 and the F16 stole the show by far, unfortunately due to mechanical problem, the performance of the F35 was shortened.
Usually the F22, is my favorite demo, but for some reason, this time it was not very captivating ... No aggressiveness, several missing maneuvers. A very short demo with like 2-3 flat pass... Looks like the pilot was hesitant and didn't know what to do ... very disappointing. I have seen the F22 demo at least 7 times in my life, but this time it was really just not memorable.
Very interesting to see the Polaris and the 2 CF-18s!
The Thunderbirds were excellent, but I found the final a bit odd, they left without much maneuver or a bang.
It was still a great day.
For me this show is a good 8.5 / 10.
P.S. Next time, plan a loudspeaker system, a bit ordinary that you have to rely on the radio of the vehicles present.

Look at your six, It's me!!!
Not the pilot's fault on Saturday. Low cloud prevented the big ticket F-22 maneuvers, basically reduced to a flat show.Nighthawk117 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 11:04 pm

Without the Pedal turn, tailslide, and power loop the Raptor demo is basically a regular aircraft flat show.

I was a bit disappointed that the Raptor couldn't wring it out a bit more, too, but the negative G square loop thing is always fun, and on Saturday that final tail slide really showed what it could do, if given the chance. I liked it being kept low, though. I got to see more on the Raptor than ever, thanks to the fact we were much closer to the flying this year.
I'll take a neutered Raptor and a slightly shortened T'birds display over no airshow any day!
Great work ASL! London got a great treat over the weekend, and the hard work of volunteers, organizers and the help of Selfridge cannot be praised enough!

As promised I raced back up to base on Sunday hoping to catch Venom's takeoff. Sadly they didn't fly Venom at all but I did film all of the takeoffs, plus some of the recoveries. The winds picked up and many of the aircraft landed at the other end.
They didn't bother us on the north side of M-59 all day until just 5 minutes before the Thunderbirds returned. All of a sudden like 6 cop cars showed up and swarmed the whole area. The guy that talked to us was pretty reasonable at least but he insisted that no one could even walk in that area (I had parked my car elsewhere) so I was lucky to catch the Thunderbirds' pitch as I slowly walked away.

Great video, Ryan! That looked pretty sweet from where you were. The Thunderbird solos sure were LOW when they flew over!
