Hello! Monroe has not brought in any active military aircraft in the last five years I’ve been attending. I don’t believe any hueys are coming so no repels. There will be a couple aircraft you can walk through for a donation (c-54 or c-46). Hope you have fun!Jtmm1960 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 4:48 pm Hello I want to bring my grandson, who is only 7 but can'ty get enough military walks around in army uniform and plays war games, aside from planes will there be any assault training ie repel from hueys, modern jets, and will we able to walk around and go in planes and stuff

Actually, the website says there will be Hueys there, and that group usually does offer rides during the show (but no repelling). Also, the show typically has a ton of people there in uniforms doing reenactments. They seem to be pretty responsive on Facebook, so I would ask there to see how you can get involved (If you have an account).Jtmm1960 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 4:48 pm Hello I want to bring my grandson, who is only 7 but can'ty get enough military walks around in army uniform and plays war games, aside from planes will there be any assault training ie repel from hueys, modern jets, and will we able to walk around and go in planes and stuff
Speaking of Facebook, their most recent post confirms the PBY; however, the one pictured is not the one from MAM. I've actually never seen this one before.

That PBY is now owned by John O'Conner, who also owns the Blue Angels Bearcat

I will be there tomorrow! Pretty confident I will be the only one there wearing a Western Michigan hat with the outline of the state of Michigan on it, so feel free to say hi if you see someone who fits that description haha.

Still a fun show today despite the cancellations. We shot a ton of pyro!

Great way to close the airshow season! In spite of the last-minute cancellations, cold weather and broken Spitfire, it was a great day. The final segment featuring all of the fighter aircraft was outstanding, and I FINALLY got to see Thunder Pig in the air! It was nice to be back to this show for the first time since 2013. Hopefully it won't be another eight years before I get to incorporate it into another trip.
