Dates are actually 29th-31st August 2024
The Bournemouth Air Festival, organised by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, will return on Thursday 29th – Saturday 31st August 2024.

Event organisers are planning a packed programme of world-class aerobatic displays with entertainment for all ages along 1.5 miles of award-winning coastline.

Visitors can expect fairground rides, Pier to Pier trading, fireworks, vintage displays and demonstrations from the Army and Navy.

The landmark festival is also hoping to inspire budding engineers with an enhanced STEM Village (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) on the beach, featuring exciting demonstrations and displays from local and national companies.

Although the date has now been officially announced and everything's looking positive for an airshow this year, the 2024 Bournemouth Air Festival is not yet a dead cert, according to the Bournemouth Echo. Apparently, the required funds for the 2024 edition have not yet been fully raised, although the council is currently on track to meet the fundraising target.
THE required amount of money to ensure Bournemouth Air Festival can go ahead this year has not yet been made, BCP Council has confirmed.

The authority says the air festival will only go ahead later this year if £100k is raised from businesses, sponsorships, donations or other external sources.

Cllr Mike Cox, portfolio holder for finance, said “good progress” has been made to raise funds for the air festival and that BCP Council is “ahead of schedule” for its fundraising target.

If £100k is raised in time, this year’s event will take place from August 29 to 31, with an extra day on Sunday dedicated to stalls and 'family fun' but no flights.
