It was there all weekend. Quite often the crews are visiting family. It was parked at the Aeroshell building.

Unforunately Airshow only has limited input into the shuttle's schedule. Which booths are you referring to?AvgeekJoe wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:45 pm I don't know if I should say anything or say anything here, but it would sure be nice if the BCTransit shuttle to the airshow started at least a half hour before the gates opened. The shuttle normally runs a bit late, and by the time we get to the booths they're sold out .
Thanks.

Hoping since Saab has offered the Royal Canadian Air Force eighty eight (88!) Gripen E fighters, Saab could please bring a Gripen to Abbotsford!

Just a fyi... already got my photo pit tickets anyway. Stoked for what's to come this year! The RCAF issued a draft request for proposal in October 2018 to an exclusive set of five potential suppliers to replace its Boeing CF-18A/B Hornet fleet.
The suppliers included Dassault Aviation, maker of Rafales; Saab, maker of JAS 39 Gripens; Airbus Defense, a major partner in the Eurofighter joint venture, which makes Typhoons; Lockheed Martin, maker of F-16s and F-35s; and Boeing, maker of F/A-18 Super Hornets and F-15E Strike Eagles.
The RCAF has said it plans to receive initial proposals from bidders between summer and winter 2019. A contract is anticipated to be awarded during the winter months of 2021-2022. Canada wants initial aircraft to be delivered in 2025, with initial operational capability achieved by 2026. The government wants all aircraft delivered by 2031 or 2032, at which time the CF-18 fleet will be retired.

Very interesting insider news...
Luftwaffe Airbus A400M Atlas confirmed for static as per the Airshow insider announcement!
Airbus is also bringing a full scale Eurofighter Typoon that will be on display! Aside from being able to physically fly, the full scale model will be identical to the real thing.

Well I guess that means that the Typhoon shouldn’t be able to cancel seeing as it’s a model.
Also it states more RCAF and US statics will be announced.

Let’s hope the a400m shows up, its an awesome machine. Last time we had a Luftwaffe aircraft was 2001 I believe.
Typhoon model is better than nothing I guess? Can the Gripen E model be far behind? Both were at CANSEC couple weeks ago.
Airbus was also pushing pretty hard at CANSEC for their A330 MRTT to replace our Polaris’s’s....Be cool to see one at the show. Much easier to get them cross oceans than Typhoons for sure.
Looking forward to this year!

A question for AIAS. Do you know if any of the light static are going to be a two ship display?
