The Blue Angels will be flying over the Naval Academy graduation in Annapolis at 10am on Friday so unless they are doing an up and back they won't be arriving at 10am tomorrow. The logistics of this weekends performance seems a bit complicated for them. With the flyover in MD they won't even be arriving in Miami until mid afternoon on Friday. I assume they will try to get circles and arrivals in late day on Friday as opposed to their usual 12-2pm on Thursday.

The NOTAM for Saturday begins at 10am (rather than when the show actually starts at 12-12:30) so I assume if the Blues don't get their practice in Friday there is at least a chance they would go up Saturday morning and then fly again around 3:30-4pm. That said, I have never seen this done before and it is pure speculation on my part. Just kind of connecting the dots given the circumstances.

Not to mention the schedule page. The MV-22 Osprey demonstration and the Navy Tailhook Legacy Flight have long been confirmed to appear but they never put them on the “Demonstrations and Flybys”. I’ve wondered why they would put the mini-pictures of the F-15 and F-22 unless they’re doing flyovers.

Today's notes,

Blue Angel #7 arrived this morning and went up three times for media flights, also did circle around OPF. In the afternoon one Pavehawk arrived and about 10 minutes after that 4 A-10 Warthogs from Whiteman AFB arrived. About an hour ago two USMC Ospreys arrived to OPF.

It appears the rest of the aircraft are running late? As for previous years most of the performers were at CGAS Miami by 2PM (I work there.) The F35 team is unusually late also which is something to point out.

I'll keep updating.

The Blue Angels should arrive soon since they already flew at the USNA graduation ceremony

Blue Angels 1 through 4 did their survey passes at the beach. They flew around for about a half hour. They will be back later for their practice demo. Besides that it's been pretty quiet here as far as air activity.

F-35 and Blue Angels finished the day. There was a 45 min lapse in action so I thought it was over and left the beach, paid my $40 parking and turned down Collins Ave. Next thing I know the F-35 blasts over and everyone on the sidewalk gets startled and a girl screamed. So I pulled over and watched what I could from the alley. That PW F135 is eye watering every time I hear/feel it. Then the Blues came in and did there formation flights.

The show was good. I know I sound biased because I've going to the Air & Sea Show since 1997 but they never disappoint. Not sure what happened with the Navy Legacy Flight but the Louisiana Air National Guard F-15 and the KC-135 were real nice surprises as were the 4 Whiteman A-10s doing a mini strafing demo (no para-rescue demonstration this year). The B-52 beginning its flyover with a sneak attack behind was really cool. The C-17 did flyovers. The Leap Frogs and Black Daggers were cool but obviously the show stealer was the F-35A. The noise from the P&W F135 is ungodly. Red Tail P-51 just did topside and bottom-up passes. The Coast Guard rescue, CBP drug interdiction demonstration and MV-22 demo were as usual. A Cessna 208 from Tropic Ocean Airways flew sort of like to warm us up for the Blue Angels. Blues as always put on a show but the clouds prevented them from doing the Left Echelon Roll, the 5-Plane Line Abreast Loop and the majority of the Delta maneuvers except for the Maneuvering Delta, Delta Breakout and Delta Flat Pass yesterday.
