They're bonuses, basically. They tend to do longer swings away from home, so instead of flying mid-week practices at their home base like the US teams do, they pick spots to go in between their weekend shows. I guess they figure that if they're going to fly a routine, they might as well do the narration and stuff so they look for places willing to set up a small event so they can have a crowd. It's a win-win.

One of the awesome things about the team is that they can more easily stage from smaller venues, and their mid-week shows are a great chance to hit smaller communities (especially towns in Canada) that would not support a full weekend show but are thrilled to see the team perform. It helps them spread their outreach a lot more than just hitting major cities.

Following the crash in Atlanta, the CT-114 Tutor fleet has paused flights as part of a safety stand down. The Snowbirds will not be able to perform in Houston as planned this weekend, which means their season has concluded.
