Re: JB Charleston Air & Space Expo 2020

In reviewing their website they have a section for downloading a 'Mandatory Vehicle Base Access Pass' for parking and a line that says you will be denied entry if you do not have a base pass. I haven't seen this for air shows before, is it a way of limiting the number of vehicles on base?

Re: Spirit of St Louis Airshow 2019

Ouch, those static losses hurt - I was looking forward to the P-3. Glad the MC-130 is flying, and I hope it does more than just drop the jumpers.

Re: 2019 MCAS Beaufort Air Show: April 27-28

I would have to agree with the earlier posts that the setup was odd. If you weren’t at the fence line or in the bleachers you would have had a hard time seeing most of the show. I was a little disappointed at the lack of static’s - there were a lot of port-a-potties at least. Unfortunately the port-...

Re: Wings Over Wayne 2019

They have also added a ramp layout to their site that may give some insight into statics.

Re: 2019 MCAS Beaufort Air Show: April 27-28

Is it me, or is this pretty much the exact same air show they have had for the last two times?

Re: Sun-n-fun 2019

I just looked at the schedule that they have for Friday’s show and there are some significant changes from a couple of weeks ago. The Cavanaugh and Lewis Air Legends are gone, and they have added a T-45/Corsair legacy flight. Glad to see the legacy flight added, but I hope that doesn’t mean that the...

Re: Sun-n-fun 2019

Military statics hinted on their Facebook page: Looking for military statics at #SNF19? Here's a sample of what's scheduled to appear. Remember, these are active military aircraft subject to operational, maintenance, and logistical concerns, but so far, the plan includes: F/A-18E Super Hornet EA-18G...

Re: Yuma Airshow 2019

Best viewing is from the paid bleachers which are about midpoint - the cross taxiway between all the runways in the aerial above and is a great spot because the performing aircraft will taxi by right in front and has good views of the runways. Corporate tents are slightly to the left and then the cr...

Re: Spirit of St Louis Airshow 2019

Is this the one that had all of the Hornets last year? Can we expect a large Boeing presence again this year?
