Re: 2024 Wings Over Solano

The show website says that gates open at 9 AM - does that mean they start letting you on base at 9AM, or do they let you on earlier to park and then the security lines open at 9AM?

Re: 2024 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show

Does anyone know why this show skews so heavily on civilian acts, whereas Yuma is more the opposite?

Re: 2024 SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo

Preliminary military static list posted by SNF. Not sure where they are going to get a CH-46 from - does DOS still operate them? Re: 2024 SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo

I am not sure they specifically mean the Norad demo (unless you saw that it has been confirmed somewhere else) as in the comments someone asks if they will be flying, and SNF responded that the F-16 would be static and flying F-16's will be represented by the Thunderbirds. Re: 2024 New Orleans Air Show

So are the F-18’s all gone and replaced by F-5’s now? And think I saw somewhere else that the F-15’s are going to be deployed overseas at the time of the air show?

Re: 2024 EAA Air Venture Oshkosh

With the return of the Snowbirds just announced, does that mean the burn line will be moved back for their show days to accommodate the aerobatic box the way they did with the Thunderbirds a few years ago?

Re: 2024 - Which airshow would you choose?

If you are looking for the best variety of old, new and unique and before May 1st, I would suggest Sun N’ Fun in Lakeland, FL. Here is a link to my album from last year. https://www.flickr.com/gp/planesandstuff/S0tb7832v5

Re: 2024 Charleston Airshow “Heroes of Flight"

I have been twice as well. The civil interruptions are not the most intrusive part. The use of dual runways is the difficult part as there is no real show center as some acts follow one and some follow the other. Expect a lot of heat haze as it is almost always humid and there are a lot of obstacles...

Re: Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show 2023

In watching the radar and other sources, it looks like so far the F-16 Demo team has arrived, along with 2xUH-60, CH-47F and an Aussie refueler.
