Re: Singapore Airshow 2020

A roundup of some of the displays over the past week... August 1st flew on three of the show days - strangely the smoke colours seemed to change each time! https://twitter.com/tif_live/status/1226482894308331520 https://twitter.com/tif_live/status/1226482944010805251 The Apache duo and F-15SG flew s...

Re: Singapore Airshow 2020

It seems Jupiter Aerobatic Team got as close as Batam, which is a 40 minute ferry ride from Singapore, then cancelled without giving a reason and are returning to home. https://indoaviation.asia/sudah-sampai-di-batam-jat-batal-ke-singapore-airshow-2020/?fbclid=IwAR2kVqy1lXgZ9feHFQ_n49WIuBHgf7GXX3GNQ...

Re: New regulations threaten twilight/pyro air displays

Yes, and this is only half the job done! Credit where it's due, the CAA have thoroughly taken on board the industry response and updated the draft CAP accordingly. There wasn't time to implement all of the feedback though, and this is a stopgap in some ways, solving most of the bigger problems until...

Re: Singapore Airshow 2020

Rumoured some months ago but frankly dismissed by almost everyone after several false alarms over the past decade, but it seems the People's Liberation Army Air Force's August 1st team have just rolled up in Singapore with their Chengdu J-10s. I wonder how they circumnavigated the very comprehensive...

Re: Singapore Airshow 2020

Several exhibitors (Textron and Gulfstream) have also pulled out. All the Chinese exhibitors are also unable to attend as there is a travel ban in place. I guess this show might be a very muted affair. Singapore is taking this very, very seriously. My immediate family still live out there and in the...

Re: Singapore Airshow 2020

Hey, no worries, I just wondered if you'd heard anything I hadn't, or if I'd missed something.

Re: Singapore Airshow 2020

Are the aircraft in the "Featuring" list based on any solid information, or just the rumours I posted earlier? The Tejas was teased by HAL last August but they never specified if it would be flying or static, plus I believe the article only said they were "hopeful" or that they "planned" to particip...

Re: Red Bull Air Race will not continue after 2019

According to this (just run it through Google Translate) William Cruickshank, the former director of sport and aviation at RBAR, will be the series director of WCAR. He says in this interview that he has had promising contact with potential new host cities. He also confirms that the format and rules...
