Re: Airshow London 2020 (Now "Sky Drive" Presented by ASL)

Maybe the GK are bringing back the Fulton surface-to-air recovery system and rather than landing they'll be scooped up by a C-130 streaking across the deck? 220px-Fulton_system2.jpg 200px-Illustration_of_Fulton_surface-to-air_recovery_system_(STARS).svg.png For those that can't pickup on my sarcasm ...

Re: Airshow London 2020 (Now "Sky Drive" Presented by ASL)

I'm sure most of those who are negative of the show are salty Americans who can't cross the border to see it. I am unfortunately stuck on the wrong side of the border but I wish ASL nothing but success and look forward to seeing photos and video from those who are able to attend!

Re: Lockheed Martin Space and Air Show 2020

Warbird budget cut?!? Crap. That's certainly disappointing, but not unexpected, I guess. I'll have to think about whether or not I'll be attending any airshows this year. I had the same reaction initially, but I'm going to attend any shows that I can (this one is a several hour flight away from me ...

Re: Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, and more - Operation America Strong Flyovers

The 171st and 193rd flyover was well attended, but today was a pretty terrible day weather wise compared to the original date last Friday and yesterday both of which were gorgeous. The KC-135 callsign STEEL62 and EC-130J callsign BATON20 flew over the downtown area at 2,500' AGL with quite a bit of ...

Re: Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, and more - Operation America Strong Flyovers

I’m not too optimistic about the Western PA flyover scheduled for Tuesday. They postponed from Friday due to a poor forecast (and it was gorgeous) and now the entire week has strong thunderstorms forecast and soaking rain.

Re: Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, and more - Operation America Strong Flyovers

Missed this one, but apparently the flyover at Tyndall featured an F-22 which subsequently crashed. Sounds like the pilot got out ok but let's hope everyone on the ground is alright Not saying it didn't happen, but I'm not finding anything about it on some of the larger Florida news station website...

It's nowhere on the PG's front page and not on their Facebook page. The 171st and 193rd don't have anything about it either! Crazy! ED...

Re: Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, and more - Operation America Strong Flyovers

The Pennsylvania Air National Guard will start conducting flybys on Friday with a KC-135 and EC-130 over Pittsburgh, Johnstown, and Harrisburg. Hopefully they will do more over other parts of the commonwealth soon! https://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2020/05/13/pennsylvania-national-guard-plans-flyover...

Re: Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, and more - Operation America Strong Flyovers

And out in California......crickets, nada, nothing lol. I figured between Travis, Edwards, Beale, 144th out of Fresno, 129th out of Moffett Field etc we would get something. Hopefully something is announced soon. You're not alone. Silence in Pittsburgh too. We've got a very active Guard unit with K...
