Re: Gulf Coast Salute 2024

I had the need to drive across Tyndall AFB this past weekend, and it's obvious why the show was moved off-base. Tyndall is a bit unique for military installations in that it is bisected by US98 between Panama City to the west of Tyndall, and Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, and other points east. US98 r...

Re: First State Airshow 2024

MA F-15s are done with Airshows. After McGuire they stopped with their F-15C. Meaning the end for MA F-15s is nearer than we may think. One article I've read stated the earliest the F-35As would arrive there is FY26, which begins on October 1, 2025. A part of me, and I'm sure many of you would agre...

Re: First State Airshow 2024

F-15 Eagle Demonstration has been added. So it isn’t just a static display, it’s like it was at McGuire, only without a MA bird, I’m thinking SJ? Since n33d4sp33d_85 said it's coming from the Louisiana ANG, something tells me these guys (and gals) want to show off the F-15 as much as they can befor...

Re: 2024 World War II Weekend

Most of MAAMs aircraft have been grounded over the years because they do not have pilots to fly them. MAAM is cheap, they make all this money and they don't bother spending it on anything good, like fixing their planes or gathering better names at WWII Weekend. They stay cheap and try to get aircra...

Re: First State Airshow 2024

We didn't get to go down to Dover AFB and the AMC Museum yesterday because of unforeseen circumstances. At least the museum isn't going anywhere! One thing I did notice on the website was that a sealed bottle of water, one per person, and 100ml or less is allowed. That just has to be a typo - 100 ml...

Re: Power in the Pines Open House & Air Show 2025

The base teased this poster on their social media. It's been nine years since the Thunderbirds have been there. Since we moved back to NJ this is now our local airshow. Almost all of our immediate and extended family were there last year and I'm sure most of the family will be there next year. That ...

Re: 2024 Charleston Airshow “Heroes of Flight"

The lines of sight at charleston are bad, I couldn't see much of the runways either. I usually go to the 3 airshows in SC shaw, chs, and beaufort. Shaw has the best setup for an airshow in my opinion. That's good to know. Shaw and Beaufort have always been on my radar (same for Cherry Point). "...

Re: 2024 Charleston Airshow “Heroes of Flight"

I had to do a double-take on your photo of the F-16. For a little while it looked like some sort of odd experimental winglet - then I realized it's the Dreamlifter tail! I hope to make it down there in two years, if they have the airshow in 2026. Like I said earlier on, my wife and I were going to m...

Re: 2024 Greater Binghamton Air Show

I just completed my ticket purchase for the entire weekend, as my wife won't be joining me.

While reading the airshow website, I did notice they left off a few performers. Is it an oversight or is this going to be an airshow where the Blue Angels take the stage at 1:45 pm rather than 3 pm?

Re: First State Airshow 2024

I see 'em every day, plus C-17s, but I still love to see them doing their thing! Same. When we lived in Delaware we always saw the 166th do their thing with the C-130s. Every once in a while a Dover C-5M or C-17 would pop into ILG for some touch & goes. Otherwise, we saw them either climbing ou...
