Re: First State Airshow 2024
Looks like air dot show (insert puke emoji) is handling premium seating at Dover. They did the same at McGuire last year and from what I had heard, it was a fiasco. Because of the rainout they had to literally double the size of the premium seating area to accommodate Saturday ticketholders on Sunda...

Re: 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show
Perhaps the most important addition so far is the World's Largest Rubber Duck. I'm hoping to make this one. Put in for the time off, but it's during one of the busiest times of the year at work and I'm already using time for London the previous weekend. We'll see what happens. You want to talk abou...

Re: Civilian Airshow Performer Merch/Apparel?
Over the past 5-10 years I have seen airshow fans wearing shirts from The Alabama Boys, the Twin Tigers, Jason Flood, and Patty Wagstaff. I couldn't tell you if they were given to those fans or they actually bought them.

Re: 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show
First-time poster here - I'm planning my first trip to Oceana to attend the airshow on Saturday. I would really appreciate some advice on viewing aircraft movements and practice prior to the airshow. I plan on arriving on Thursday around midday and was hoping to spend the afternoon and Friday viewi...

Re: First State Airshow 2024
With the Northeast lacking shows this year (no McGuire, no Barnes/Westover, no Andrews), Dover seems like a "Don't Miss" show this year for the people in the Northeast. Lets see how Binghamton shapes up. You've forgotten several airshows that have jet teams that are in the mid-Atlantic an...

Re: Any advice
I'm planning to attend an upcoming airshow and I'm keen on getting some insider advice to enhance my experience. Could anyone share their recommendations on essential gear to bring for a day at the airshow? I'm particularly interested in advice on photography equipment, but also tips on comfort ite...

Re: Gulf Coast Salute 2024
I had the need to drive across Tyndall AFB this past weekend, and it's obvious why the show was moved off-base. Tyndall is a bit unique for military installations in that it is bisected by US98 between Panama City to the west of Tyndall, and Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, and other points east. US98 r...

Re: First State Airshow 2024
MA F-15s are done with Airshows. After McGuire they stopped with their F-15C. Meaning the end for MA F-15s is nearer than we may think. One article I've read stated the earliest the F-35As would arrive there is FY26, which begins on October 1, 2025. A part of me, and I'm sure many of you would agre...

Re: First State Airshow 2024
F-15 Eagle Demonstration has been added. So it isn’t just a static display, it’s like it was at McGuire, only without a MA bird, I’m thinking SJ? Since n33d4sp33d_85 said it's coming from the Louisiana ANG, something tells me these guys (and gals) want to show off the F-15 as much as they can befor...

Re: 2024 World War II Weekend
Most of MAAMs aircraft have been grounded over the years because they do not have pilots to fly them. MAAM is cheap, they make all this money and they don't bother spending it on anything good, like fixing their planes or gathering better names at WWII Weekend. They stay cheap and try to get aircra...
