I was very fortunate with the lighting and with the fact that there weren’t a lot of civilian performers pumping out smoke. I love Oceana, but the haze from the runway heat, the smoke from prior performers, and the usual cloudless sky all work together to sabotage my photography efforts.

I really enjoyed this Air Show. It’s been several years (too many) since there has been an opportunity to see this many fornt line aircraft. And I say that being a regular visitor to NAS Oceana every year. I was a regular to the London shows of the 1980s, and they never disappointed, and neither did...

Turns out best place to see an F-35 was London, Ontario last weekend. There were two up there, an Air Forceone and a Naval one. Also got to see the Super Hornet demo again.

Was there on Saturday. Never saw an F-35 anywhere. Exiting wasn’t bad this year - left at 1700, and got directed to secondary runway taxi strip, headed north. They stopped us once so the bunny jet could depart, but then back open for far speedier than normal egress. Wish they had done that in years ...
