What time should I be at the gate for general admission seating to get a good spot? I'm typically an early riser to Air Shows.

Any suggestions on where to park in the surrounding areas?

Reading through this thread, so it sounds like lighting is going to poor for photography (from the beach). Has anyone shot from a boat? How did that go? Its been several years since attending the Huntington Beach Air Show. I assume you can just walk onto the beach and watch it. Well, first time attending the Smoky Hill ANG Range open house...such a bummer that the A-10's, F-16's, and B-1 was canceled. Found out the night before after driving 6 hrs. Really wanted to see the A-10! fire that 30mm!!!! Still got to see the B2, Black Hawk helicopters, and a C-130 pop some flares...
