Columbus Airshow announced Planes of Fame is sending their P-38 as a replacement for the Erickson Lightning at their show. Hopefully that is also in play for St. Louis.

I don't know anything specific about the P-38, but it has not been listed as a performer in the last several emails to ticket holders.

Assuming they're doing the same thing as last time (and I don't see why they wouldn't), the show line parallels runway 5/23 and faces southeast.

Is there somewhere to watch the ground show for the Blues? Or will they be parked away from spectators and just taxi out to the runway? I would love to see the walkout and startup of the jets. They were parked on a taxiway towards the north end of the crowd line at the last show, but I can't rememb...

I would treat all alleged appearances by that museum's aircraft with skepticism for the rest of the year.

The show grounds at Selfridge are huge. If you don't feel like lugging a chair around, box seating would probably be a nice option. If you'd prefer to bring your own chair, there has always been plenty of space on the show line when I've attended.

Spent a hot and windy day at Breckenridge Saturday. Unfortunately, the extreme heat and severe weather kept away nearly all of the scheduled heavy iron warbirds, making for a rather disappointing day. There was severe weather all over Saturday night.
