Thanks for all the good info. I will get my Bulletproof Vest and gas mask and brave the Rioters to get some good shots.

Re: Arsenal of Democracy Flyover, Washington, DC 2020 (POSTPONED TO SEPT 25)

Has anyone heard what airport they leave from? Any list of the planes that have not cancelled? I am debating whether it’s worth risking Covid and a beating from BLM or Antifa.

Does anyone know where the planes will be taking off from ? Is there a good place to watch from other than the mall ? Thanks.

Re: Aviation Podcasts

A little off topic but close. On long distance road trips I listen to Audio books that I download for free from my local library. It sure makes long distance drives more interesting and keeps you from feeling so drowsy.

Re: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019

I wish the organizers would highlight the rare new and unusual aircraft more. I came to get pictures of the P-82, Mosquito, B-26, B-29’s and A-4’s. So far all I have seen is one pass of the P-82 and have it land on the far runway. The B-26 one pass and land on the far runway. Mosquito three passes b...

Re: Toledo Air Show 2019

I was really impressed with the entire airshow. The F-100 and Mig-17 were the highlights for me. I did return on Monday morning to try and get some departure shots of the planes that were on static display and that did not fly on Sat or Sunday. The planes taking off stayed low and were only visible ...

Re: Grissom Air & Space Expo 2019

I have also read that the B-1 Airshow appearance at Grissom is canceled. I heard they can only get about 10 B-1's in the air at any one time do to heavy maintenance being done after it's long deployment to Qatar for Afghanistan.

Re: Toledo Air Show 2019

I go to a lot of airshows and I always try to go to both days "Just in Case". You get twice as many chances to see the One plane you have never seen before fly or for the sun to come out. The second day you know where the best place to sit is and when to expect the F-16 to sneak up from be...

Re: 2019 Dayton Air Show

The airshow was ok but the line up was very limited in numbers compared to other airshows. Most airshows figure if they can get the Thunderbirds or the Blue Angels and a bouncy castle that's all they really need to get the Joe Six Pack customers and the three kids to pay the big bucks to come in the...

Re: 2019 Dayton Air Show

I talked to the crew of the NASA S-3 Viking and they said they were flying back to Cleveland Monday between 10:00 am and 12:00. The airframe is being retired by the end of the year so this may be the last chance to take flying pictures of it.
