Re: Central Coast Airfest 2023

Question for anyone who has been to Santa Maria before: What's photography like there in relation to the sun? From the airport map it appears you have to shoot the flying displays from the south to SW to West which means you're shooting into the afternoon sun. Is this correct? It's very backlit and...

Re: NAS Oceana Air Show 2023

At Cleveland I was particularly struck by the notable difference in the pull out of the opening half cuban. In the past it used to be a very strong pull to a tail stand on the way down, and it was pretty cool. The one I saw this year was a very gentle pull back to level without any of the 'cobra' ac...

Re: NAS Oceana Air Show 2023

Then go to an AIR FORCE BASE Hey pal, I don’t know if you know this, but this is an air show forum designed so people can discuss air shows. I asked a question in said forum about static displays as there is little info readily available, I didn’t even specify about Air Force statics. You did. All ...

No, it's the Belle and a gray jet
sovietjet wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 3:07 am Unlikely, the black A-10 was transferred to DM a couple of months ago.
That's why he asked, the Demo Team has been using it but only at certain shows. Sadly not Waukegan!

Re: Cleveland National Air Show 2023

If you are arriving early, you can get a spot at the terminal parking lot. Probably pricey but very convenient. There are also two big parking garages off of 9th street where it crosses the highway. Or you can go to the Science Center just west of the Rock Hall. If you want something cheaper there i...

Re: Cleveland National Air Show 2023

Hi guys, This would be my first time attending the Air Show. I'm using Canon EOS R7 & EOS 77D(both are APS-C), what would be the recommended focal length for aircrafts taxiing on the ground and demonstration in the air? I'd say the usual 300mm minimum rule applies for flying. Cleveland has one ...
