Re: National Cherry Festival Air Show

Nice pictures! I'll have to upload a few from Saturday when I get home tonight. I'm definitely glad that I made the drive over for it. Duluth is a great airshow, great lighting for photos only problem is finding a hotel room, its tough on weekends to get rooms anywhere in Duluth being a major touri...

Thanks,

Alot of that depends on what you want to see. Thursday should be great this year with all of the P-51's. Usually a lot of locals head there on Saturday so it can be pretty packed.

Re: National Cherry Festival Air Show

I was really looking forward to seeing the F18 demo, but the Thunderbirds are the main reason I was planning on going.

I'm driving up and around tomorrow too. Just gotta get through a day and a half of work first.

Re: National Cherry Festival Air Show

I'm for sure going on Saturday. With having to drive 7 hours I don't want to risk it being bad when I get over there so I will be watching the weather forecast closely the few days before hand. Any must visit breweries in Traverse City? Of course the weather forecast can change a lot before now and...

Re: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019

I'm getting unreasonably excited for EAA this year already. Signed up to volunteer a few days and my daughters (5 and 3) keep asking about going to the "airplane show."

Re: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019

I am really curious to see how many P51's show up and to see what other stuff gets confirmed. Last year the Blue Angels did a random flyover which was cool.

Re: Why do we rarely see bombers flying during air shows?

I feel really lucky now that EAA had the b1, b52 and a b2 flyover a few years ago. I'm just starting to get into airshows so I had no idea at the time.

Re: National Cherry Festival Air Show

I live in Oshkosh and am really wanting to see the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels this year. Is this show worth the 7hr drive? Or would I be better off braving Milwaukee or driving 5hrs to Duluth? Check the second post in the thread for my thoughts on TC; it's more of a day at the beach with planes fl...
