Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2019 "Corsair Crazy"

I saw 8 Corsairs on the ramp when I left, and I've heard that a 9th apparently showed up? A group of 3 is/was working their way in. A very tame day for arrivals today. The runway is just soooo far away even with the parallel show line. Practice was short, just the P-51 acro (Swamp Fox), Michael Gou...

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2019 "Corsair Crazy"

Looks like some new additions to both the static and flying displays! Statics - Two EA-18G Growlers, Special Ops HC-130J Combat King II, RCAF CH-146 Griffon, RCAF CC-150 Polaris and a RCAF CC-130J Hercules. Flying - Pair of F-15E Strike Eagles from Mountain Home AFB in Idaho and a MH-60T Jayhawk Sea...

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2019 "Corsair Crazy"

I was wondering if anyone knew what the crowd line orientation will be this year. Will it be the same as last year where it was aligned with the runway I believe at the request of the Thunderbirds to take the trash pile out of the way or will it revert back to the orientation from previous years? I ...

Great video with tons of vapor! Interesting to see how little he was in afterburner during the demo which apparently would be to conserve fuel for the return to Battle Creek.

Re: Golden Knights C-31A status?

A few weeks ago at the Dayton Air Show, the Golden Knights were one of the performers and they were flying a C-31 which I would assume would have to be 85-1608. I would have to go back and double check my photos. I went to Andrews earlier this year and they were flying the C-147A. I don't recall whi...

Re: 2019 Dayton Air Show

Reports coming in that a small plane that’s part of the air show had to make an emergency landing near Dayton airport. Sounds like it is Skip Stewart. Initial reports indicate it was an engine failure and he had to set it down, but sounds as though he is ok. Needless to say he won’t be performing.

Re: Westmoreland County Airshow May 25-26

Not Matt, but I was at the Andrews show. The B-52 was parked on the southern end of the static ramp around where That’s All Brother and other warbirds were parked. South end is towards where the tower and Presidential hangar are. Ah, thanks Eric. I didn't walk down that far this year, I assumed the...

Re: 2019 Dayton Air Show

Seems as though Dayton is fortunate enough to be one of the air shows that will be getting the Navy legacy flight. The navylegacy.org website says it should be a Super Hornet along with Paul Wood in his A-4 Skyhawk. However, Nostalgic Flights stated on Facebook this morning that they will be partic...

Re: 2019 Blue Angels Maneuver List/Music Playlist

There is a thread on this same topic under the 2019 Airshow Performer Info And Schedules part of the forum. Don't know if you have anything that maybe fills in any gaps over there or vice versa, but just thought I would mention! Good call, I merged the two threads :) Whoops, sorry about that. I'd s...
