Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2018
Save the dates!!! For those of us fortunate to live in the Lower Mainland / Pacific Northwest / Vancouver Island areas - it would appear that the Snowbirds have recently added 2 more shows to their 2018 schedule for British Columbia now including August 1st in Vancouver (consequently this is the sam...

Re: Airshow Radio Monitoring
The Blue Angels have already done 3 shows on the 2018 show season and the airshow year is well under way! Their practice flights and most recent shows can be viewed on YouTube. The ones that are marked in the lower right hand corner as "Witman" are, in my opinion, the best as they include ...

Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2018
Managed to make it out to the Abbotsford Airport this afternoon and snapped a few photos of the Girls Can Fly event. Was listening in on Tower and Ground ops and by all accounts it was a great success in part due to the sunny weather (last year it rained). They were thanking the pilots for volunteer...

Re: What Airshow Act Do You Miss?
I definintely have to agree about missing the "Top Gun" F-14 Tomcat!!! Would love to see the Mig-29 and Mig-31 fly again! And speaking of the Russian groupings - what a treat is was to see the AN-225 fly!! Hopefully one day I will get to see Patrouille de France flying at the Abbotsford In...

Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2018
I am quite intrigued by the Abbotsford Airports history and I speak of is the 1973 explosion of CF-101 Voodoo #101019. I am unable to uncover any photographs of the incident... If this was one of the last recorded "incidents" at the Abootsford International Airshow it just goes to show ho...

Re: Airshow Radio Monitoring
Of Interest: During the 2016 Abbotsford Airshow I heard one of the performers talking on an FRS channel (Family Radio Service UHF Allocations) complaining that some part had fallen off his aircraft and he wasn't sure if it was during his flight or during movement on the ground as it was now missing!...
