Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2020

Any word on whether the A-10 demo team will attend? https://www.airshowstuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1818 That weekend is open. I would like to see the paintjob. https://www.airshowstuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1541 Also, any word on if the OR ANG unit from Klamath Falls OR wil...

Re: Abbotsford International Airshow 2019

Who is going on Fri evening?

I probably will be crewing for one of the hot air balloons there.

Every second photo blurry?

I have noticed something odd with my photos recently. When shooting flying aircraft with camera on continuous motor drive, my photos alternate between sharp and soft. I think I am panning along fine, so I dont think I am pausing between shots. Also, it just looks soft, not smeared. Nikon D7000 Sigma...

Re: MAX lens size (Goofy military rules)

Hi redjay, I just noticed this now. (I continued on my long road trip after WOW, so was a bit distracted...) I personally did not have any issues with my Sigma 150-600mm, but I did hear of some MPs making up rules. Apparently, the PAO office did eventually get the word out, but likely it was too lat...

Re: Boundary Bay Airshow '19

The Heritage Flight was neat. I have seen the USAF ones several times, and a U.S. Navy F/A-18F/Wildcat Legacy Flight at Dayton, OH recently, but had not seen an RCAF version yet. It was great to see, but a little short at only three quick passes. They read a poem written by a WWII veteran that made ...

Re: Boundary Bay Airshow '19

As I said above, I went mainly for the 2019 CF-18 Demo aircraft. I contacted the PAO ahead of time, and Lt. Becky Major escorted me to the jet prior to the show start. Thanks, Lt. Major! https://i.imgur.com/pVncJvb.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CDQr1FN.jpg As I was leaving the tarmac, a groundcrew member ...

Re: Boundary Bay Airshow '19

That was a pretty good little show! I was not expecting too much from this, so I am pleasantly surprised. I went primarily for the CF-18 Demo, to photograph this years paint. I didn't know a lot about the three warbirds from the Erickson collection, or the Heritage flight, so this was a bonus. The f...
