Re: Sky Drive 2021 (presented by Airshow London)

It's been surprisingly quiet about what's coming. I'm certainly hoping the guys and gals are busy in the background and just not announcing things, but with only a few months to go, I'd have hoped that we might start to see the roster of acts fill out a bit. Does anyone have any leads on anything ne...

Re: Sky Drive 2021 (presented by Airshow London)

Got the notice in my email yesterday, purchased the Red Zone ticket right away. I don't know how they got the airport to agree to shut down for the show, but I agree it's good to be prepared. I liked the Skydrive, although I also like seeing the jets up close. All I care right now is that there is a...

Re: Airshow London 2020 (Now "Sky Drive" Presented by ASL)

I was a bit disappointed that the Raptor couldn't wring it out a bit more, too, but the negative G square loop thing is always fun, and on Saturday that final tail slide really showed what it could do, if given the chance. I liked it being kept low, though. I got to see more on the Raptor than ever, ...

Ah! That makes more sense!

I hope you're right about tomorrow. I fear the weather sounds unco-operative, mind you. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Do you know what happened to the F-35?

Re: Airshow London 2020 (Now "Sky Drive" Presented by ASL)

Great show today! The weather was beautiful and the flying was awesome! I was in the front row of the Red Zone, and that was money very, very well spent! I want to congratulate ASL on a superb event. However, the exit strategy for the red zone needed work. For some reason, the front row of the Red Z...

Looks like it's official. https://london.ctvnews.ca/a-canadian-first-airshow-london-books-all-4-world-famous-demo-teams-from-the-u-s-1.5081382 BOOM! They hype said it would be a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and man oh man... SOOOO awesome! I remember the 'glory days' of the '80s shows, and the flying ...

In all honesty, if we've got two Buffs, we don't need much from the RCAF.

It's a shame, of course, but we barely have the money for gas as it is, I guess!

Re: Airshow London 2020 (Now "Sky Drive" Presented by ASL)

Stratofortress Saturday has a decent ring to it... You mean "Strat-urday", right? Man, I've been going to London's show since 1981. Every year there's a show, I'm there. I've seen firsts, lasts and onlys (like the one and only time for the B-2), but I've never seen TWO Buffs in the air at...

Yeah Buddy!

Now, if he can drag some A-10s, F-15s and F-35s across the border with him, well, all the better right? 8-)

Re: Airshow London 2020 (Now "Sky Drive" Presented by ASL)

It's good to see they have a back-up plan. Obviously their(organizers) first choice is to have planes based at London, but if they need to be based at Selfridge in order to put on the show, then so be it. Selfridge would allow for tanker support to make this feasible as well. I think this show has ...
