Kind of odd that ACC is sending the A-10 to Detroit June 24-25 and nothing to Selfridge or Thunder. I would have thought one of the other shows would be a better venue. Kind of a bummer that neither of those other shows got anything. Not complaining by any means, just think that was an odd choice out of the three show options in that area.

I agree, but maybe they figure the A-10 will be represented at both shows using Selfridge aircraft for static/flybys?

In case anyone was curious, I've updated the blog post linked above to show which shows are assigned to the East team vs. the West team.

I'm seeing photos on Facebook that TWO A-10s flew in the Heritage Flight today in Lancaster, CA. Is this going to continue all year?

I also noticed in the ACC support manual that the A-10 will be doing three pass mini-demos as hoped.

Ryan,

I am assuming so! If you go on their webpage you will see each demo team has two pilots. I mean I could be wrong about that but it makes sense.

Best regards,

According to this Facebook post, the East team is flying a uniquely painted aircraft! Camo tail fins and the flying tiger on the engine.
