2017 Patrouille de France North American Tour

Post by Airshow4444 » Thu Feb 09, 2017 8:18 pm

So far we know of four shows in North America. Since the performances aren't *too* far away now, I doubt we hear of any more being added. There is one possible flyover I've heard about too in Kansas City on the 6th.

US Shows:
April 1st-2nd - Melbourne Air and Space Show, Florida
April 4th - Sun n' Fun- Lakeland, Florida
April 6th - Kansas City, Missouri (Flyover/Tentative)
April 8th-9th - Maxwell AFB, Alabama

Canadian Airshows
April 30th - Wings Over Gatineau Airshow, Quebec

I'm pretty excited. Anyone else have plans to go to their shows? This will be my first time seeing them since they did a flyover in Yorktown, VA back in 2009.

I am very excited for the Patrouille de France myself. When they announced three shows in the United States this year, I had hopes myself that they would do a Canadian show. I was thinking of Montreal since they've planned a show there on May 13-14 for the 350th Anniversary of the City and they had the CAF Snowbirds invited so it would have been ideal for the French team to make an appearance there. But then they announced that they would be doing Wings Over Gatineau Airshow, Quebec on April 30th which more than enough did it for me and I can't wait for that show, I will definitely be in attendance.

Cheers,

Ernest G.

Looking forward to seeing them at Melbourne, FL the first weekend in April!

I have seen the Red Arrows three times, The Frecce Tricolori once, The Snowbirds MANY times, and the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels WAY too many times (burnt out on seeing the Flying Falcons and the Hornets - but looking forward to the Super Hornet changeover...).

But have never seen the Patrouille de France in their AlphaJets - looking forward to it.

;)

I've heard mentions that they are planning the April show as a "sneak peek" of the September show, a separate event. Thunder Over Michigan did something similar last year with the Snowbirds. We'll see what details come out now that this is officially out there.

The appearance at Stewart ANGB is apparently a private event for media and invited guests only, according to the New York Air Show Facebook page. That's a bummer but maybe there are some off-site spots to watch from!
