I think the press release may be wrong. It is probably the 27th in DC. People in DC should keep an eye out for any city alerts about the fly over.

It seems like it is on Sunday http://franceintheus.org/spip.php?article8022 at least that what the Embassy of France is saying. Although the weather doesn't look good on Sunday.

The official graphic that they used to announce the tour listed it as the 27th. That obviously could have changed but we are having trouble confirming one or the other.

Seven of the team's jets arrived in New York yesterday but three Alpha Jets are stuck in Bagotville with mechanical issues and the support planes are there as well.

Pretty amazing:

"The transatlantic crossing consisted of 7 legs, with stops in Scotland, Iceland, Greenland, and then Goose Bay in Labrador and CFB Bagotville in Quebec."

It sounds like their NYC and Statue of Liberty flyover will be at 12pm noon today, and their Washington DC flyover is confirmed for 1pm tomorrow.

It also sounds like two of their jets are still stuck in Canada and a second A-400 had to fly in equipment to fix them. I guess they don't have very much experience with the cold weather!

Nice NY Hudson Rive fly-over by the team today.

They had their Airbus A400 leading the 8 jet formation. I guess the A400 was their photo plane.

They did one pass down the Hudson River and one pass up. Looks like arrow formation down and then they came back up in a delta.

They turned on their colored smoke just as they got to Battery Park.

I think they went all the way down to Verazzano and then came back.

Light to medium overcast here in NY, but no rain.

The formation was right on time at 12 Noon. DC people should show up a little before 1 PM to make sure you see them.

FOX has some video here:

Thank you to the team for a nice fly-over.

The Patrouille de France visit to Langley AFB will include a flight demonstration and demos by the F-22 and Rafale according to base public affairs. It's closed to the public but you may see them in the area flying around.
