Red Arrows depart for Middle East tour after Athens Flying Week

@Adam pointed out this article earlier. The Reds will be touring the Middle East next month. A shame they will not be in North America...

RAF Red Arrows to perform in seven Middle East countries

The Red Arrows will carry out a tour of the Middle East next month, the Ministry of Defence has said.

The RAF's aerobatic team will perform in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and the UAE, it said.

The tour will highlight links with the British Armed Forces in each of the countries and demonstrate the UK is "open for business", the MoD added.

It will be "a visible demonstration of UK engagement" across the world, Defence Secretary Sir Michael said.

Thanks for sending us the Thunderbirds twice since our Red Arrows last went stateside. I only wish we would reciprocate. There would have been so much potential for a great tour celebrating Canada's 150th and the USAF's 70th, but no, for the third consecutive tour they're off to perform for an audience of 50 people in Kuwait. Brilliant.
