This will be a first time for me to attend Oshkosh.

I have three quick questions regarding what's flying at the show.

1. Will the B-2 Spirit be flying at the show? Last I checked it was maybe.
2. Will the C-130 JATO be flying at this show? I heard that there will be a C-130 "launch" and I thought that might mean that's it's the JATO rocket version.
3. I heard that the F-35 will be flying at some point. Will that be on Saturday & Sunday?

Thank you for your time! :-)

Hi Andrew,

1. It hasn't been announced. There are some surprise flybys but I doubt a B-2 is in there.
2. No, no one does JATOs any more. Launch is synonymous with takeoff.
3. I'm not sure when the F-35s will be flying. I believe they are supposed to do some low approaches/flybys on arrival and maybe on departure?

Enjoy the show!

Andrew,

I think I remember hearing on The Green Dot podcast that the F-35s were going to be flying in the big military portion of the show Saturday. I'm not sure on the arrival date/time.

Enjoy your first Oshkosh!

Waiting on the B-1. Heard it might be delayed until 8 and I fear that means no passes but we'll see

The B-1 was a waste but here's the Boeing Plaza schedule courtesy of Jack

Bummer about them not getting to make much noise on arrival. It was great fun listening to the Fisk Approach feed as they were putting all the chaos of traffic into hold over the lakes so the Bone could get in, though.

Fisk Controller: Okay, do we have anybody with an emergency or critical fuel?

(Brief pause)

Pilot: No but I sure gotta pee something fierce!
