Where is the best place to stay next May?

I been staying in the Williamsburg area for both this and Oceana shows there are a ton of hotels there. Its around 30 minutes to Langley from there.

Peninsula Town Center is close to the coliseum area and they got some ok bars/pubs. I live in the area.

I booked a hotel (Embassy Suites) a long time ago, but I’m leaning to cancelling now. I understand the uncertainty regarding the Thunderbirds, but the web site for this events screams “we aren’t really into this show.” Maybe my expectations were too high, but I expected a lot more for a 100 year anniversary show. The flying line-up is a little short in jet power, compared to other shows elsewhere this year. At the last Langley Air Show I was at (Red Arrows were there) it was non-stop Eagles, four at a time, beating up the air field. Further, there is no information that I can see about paid seating or chalets, things that are important to me so I can find a way to keep my wife out of the sun for a bit.

yea I'm backing out of this show too unless an explosion of information happens. Looks like its warbirds for me at the beach!
