Nice review. I guess it's 50/50 on the weather there, as the St Louis area can be warm for this time of year as well. Did the CF-18 demo? I've been there to shows in the early 2000s - great venue.

The CF-18 flew a great demo, all low-level due to the low ceiling. I'm not sure if it's a typical low-ceiling show, but I thought the variety of angles and passes flown were better than I've seen from US Navy demos. I generally prefer low passes showcasing roll rate, turning ability, etc. to vertical shows anyway though. The NORAD scheme is awesome.

You're right about it being a great venue. I was hoping the cooler weather would have come a week earlier so the trees and hills would have provided a more colorful backdrop, but no such luck. I sat at the East end of the show line and enjoyed having the warbirds taxi past.

Nice pictures! You & I must have been very close to each other, our pictures are basically the same perspective. I was there watching arrivals on a rainy Friday. I'll add some of those to mix it up...here are some of my shots.

Nice photos David! Great shots of the arrivals. The VMFAT-101 CAG has a cool look. I was down on the far east end of the show line with four other people on Saturday. We were probably pretty close to each other. That was an enjoyable spot to be with the warbirds taxying out and clear views of all the aircraft turning in for their passes.
