I don't think Monroe is having a show this year. Charleston, WV has a good lineup so far.
Information?

Charleston’s Facebook page, looks like Tinker Belle will be there:

As for Monroe, I know it’s usually annual, but every calendar I check (milavia, ICAS, etc.) doesn’t show it. Maybe they’re still working things out.

Monroe is so late in the year they don't make many early announcements. The show is almost always on the weekend of Veterans Day. The Sky Soldiers have Monroe on their schedule for Nov 10-11, 2018. https://armyav.org/

Just found out Beaufort, SC is having a small air show this summer featuring the Twin Tigers, I may go to that as well. @Airplanefreak2000 were you aware of this one?

I was hoping to go to the Pensacola blue angels homecoming show this year, but Im not sure of the dates. The blue angels website as well as the F-22 schedule says the show will be November 1-3rd...which actually would be a little odd because that would be Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Then Im seeing other sites suggesting that it will be November 9th and 10th. Does anyone know for sure what the dates are for this show?

It used to be that every 2 years the show would be Sat-Sun, and the other year it would be Fri-Sat, as I understand it from some people around the airshow planning team, and the Blues, they will not be going back to a Sat-Sun schedule again, and will instead always be Fri-Sat.

That said, it could change, and I'm not sure why some places list the 1st(the Blues site now only lists 2-3), it will very likely be Fri-Sat, with a private practice Thursday(The museum might be open, but they don't let anyone out to the viewing area due to the increased FAA regulations for an actual show).

Let me know if anyone else is planning on going to any of these shows - Right now I'm only planning to meet up with friends at the Rome, and Homecoming shows, so any new airshow contacts would be great!

My tentative list of shows:

Definitely trying to attend
Dobbins ARB, GA*
Charleston Air Expo, SC
Wings Over Myrtle Beach, SC
MacDill AFB, FL
Anderson Regional, SC
Pensacola Beach, FL
Wings Over North Georgia, Rome, GA
NAS JAX, FL
NAS Pensacola Homecoming, FL

Possible
Tuscaloosa Regional, AL(Possible - depending on if a friend get's assigned the show as a safety pilot)
Atlanta Air Show, GA(Same weekend as Wings over North Georgia)

Unlikely
MCAS Cherry Point, NC
Sun'n Fun Fly-In, FL(Unlikely, but debating)

If I win the lottery
Arctic Thunder, AK
EAA Air Venture Oshkosh, WI
San Francisco Fleet Week, CA
Nellis AFB Aviation Nation, NV (When else would I get to go to this show? It's the week after the Blues last show for once)

* Cancelled

I am hoping to make it to more airshows this season than I did the previous airshow season. This is what my schedule is looking like for the 2018 season so far.

Definitely Attending:

- 1/27 Pratt & Whitney Joint Testing Exercise with USAF (Miami, FL)
- 4/22 Vero Beach Air Show (Vero Beach, FL)
- 05/05 Fort Lauderdale Air Show (Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL)
- 05/26 Miami Beach Air & Sea Show (South Beach Miami, FL)
11/03 Wings Over Homestead at Homestead ARB (Homestead, FL)

Possibly Attending:

- 03/17 Melbourne Air & Space Show (Melbourne, FL)
- 05/12 Tampa Bay Airfest at MacDill AFB (Tampa, FL)
- 06/23 Dayton Air Show (Dayton, OH)
- 09/22 NAS Oceana Air Show (Virginia Beach, Va)

As of now it looks like the Dayton Airshow or Nas Oceana Airshow will be the farthest ones I would be traveling to this season. I am really looking forward to this season!
