Best airshows in US during September-October?

The shows at NAS Oceana and MCAS Miramar are the first that come to mind. If you are able to stretch your window to November, Nellis AFB is certainly worth consideration.

Miramar is one of the most bad ass military shows in September! If you can wait, Nellis (Aviation Nation) is just as awesome.

Wings Over Houston is SOMETIMES one of the best shows in October.
It was a great show in 2011, 2014 and 2017...the last years I attended. The Collings Foundation jets were featured flying in 2014 and 2017, but many years they are just static.
Not sure if 2018 will be that good. No real specifics about performer lineup yet.

Thanks guys for all the replies. Miramar is certainly looking good, but I also saw a California Capital Airshow. Is that one any good?
