Does the Oregon Nat Guard still have that Soaring Eagle still painted on that F15? I would love to see that again, perhaps the best livery work ever done on an F15 to date that is not of the adversarial pattern types.

I read that it was repainted last year.

BAH!!! Misleading poster on the official website as they are happily plugging that particular Eagle in for attention from the public.
I'm sure many locals will be attending expecting to see the 'Screamin' Eagle I mean, only to get a stock Eagle for the NATO flyby or the air performance..
When that particular one came in 2016, it just did a flyby with the Brietling team, and even that was a lame single straight pass..
No topside bank to show off its stunning feather's done on its wings. Not to mention, not even a solo photo pass at topside which really disappointed me and a number of other die hards who came a long way..
This year's performance by the looks of it really should of been the screamin eagle's act.
Otherwise the jet lineup is pretty awesome! I hope that museum or restoration facility are completing their work on fixing up that Taiwanese Tiger and that Mig-21 so it can someday be in flyable condition for one of the heritage organizations... One can only hope.

So there is a big announcement coming today. I wonder what that might be?

USN Seahawk and RCAF CF-18 added to static! Also it seems theyve heard this forums talk as theyve changed the F15 pic to a regular line bird.

Hi There!
I will be in Hillsboro 9/27-28 and wondered if there were better spots for plane spotting than the park and ride across from the airport?
I have 4 tickets, front row in the beer garden for Saturday but cannot use them. If anyone is interested, I would sell all 4 for 160.00 (OBO).
I paid 69.22 each back in December but something has come up and I have to be in Seattle on the 29th. In the late 70s and 80s I went to 10-15 shows a year, after that, with kids and my own business I didn't have much time for airshows. I always made a point to see the Blues in Seattle and catch the JBLM airshow when they had it but that was about it. Several years ago I purchased a second home in Hillsboro and really have enjoyed the show. Some years have been better than others but with the light rail it was always super easy. I sold the place a year ago but we come into town to visit and I always will plan to attend the airshow, I just wish they would settle on a consistent date! This years show is shaping up to pretty good! If there is any interest in the tickets, post a reply and we can make it happen.

It turns out I need to pay attention to this thread now, as I've been invited to fly with the Snowbirds on Friday morning! I also got media so I'll be staying through the weekend. Really looking forward to hitting a show outside the norm and of course if the flight works out it'll be a lifetime highlight for sure!!!

So it looks like the B-25 Mitcehll Grumpy will b flying twice, once in formation with the Warbirds, and one sole demo for the Dollitle Raid commemoration. Suzuki Flight Team added to flying display. CC-115 Buffalo added to static, as well as a Chinook. The Chinook is awesome.
