My my my, this show is getting better and better. FOUR Super hornets on static display!!! Also a C130J added to static as well. If everything holds this will be by far the best OIA I have been to.

The hits keep on coming, of the 4 Supers on static 2 are VFA-103!!! What a rare sight for this side of the country, the other 2 will be VFA-122. Trying to clarify but it seems like OIA is hinting at some of these supers flying in the show, now wouldnt that be a cherry on the top.

Yes this years airshow is shaping up to be the best I’ve seen yet. I’m sckeptial of the Super Hornets flying, but one can hope. The shows Facebook page hints are more announcements to come.

I keep rereading the posts on Facebook and more than once the airshow’s Facebook page replied directly to questions and answered that yes some the Super Hornets would fly in the airshow. With Oceana the weekend before and VFA-106 getting approval to fly their demo at Oceana I wonder if they also got approval to fly at OIAS? And maybe they are bringing the VFA-103 jets and flying one of them during the demo?

VFA-122 flew the VFA-151 CAG at several airshows last year. Crazier things have happened!

6 jet demonstrations, nice. They are going big this year. Pretty much feels like Abbotsford this year, and there is still more time for additions. That NORAD formation takes the cake, as well as the CF-18 twilight demo. It will be my first time here, and I am driving up from Abbotsford. Fun road trip for me, and seeing all the Canadian participation will be sweet for me. Oregon, you guys are in for a treat. Our CF-18 demo pilot this year is the best one we have had in 5 years, and he just rocks it up there.

Looks like after quickly deleting their last post about the NORAD formation, OIA have updated and now its a regular grey bird instead of the demo CF-18 which is still fine by me!

Interesting bit I noticed, the NORAD formation was added to the website but the F15 pic was left up in the performers section as well. Maybe we can expect a separate performance?
