2018 US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet Demonstration Schedules

Post by RyanS » Fri Apr 13, 2018 12:14 am

The 2018 F/A-18 Super Hornet demonstration schedule has been released, and it's underwhelming. Due to maintenance issues and training requirements, they are only approved for four shows with another two tentative in June. I fully expect this list to grow as the year goes on, but certainly we will not see a normal schedule in 2018.

As a reminder, the jets and crews for these demos come from active training squadrons and they do need to put that mission before airshow performances. It sucks for the rest of us, but I'm sure they'd be flying more if they felt they could.

Check back here to see the latest; we will update this thread if and when changes are announced!

The Team commented on Facebook that this is the entire list of approved shows for 2018. I don’t think they’re adding any more.

Either way, so much for 46 demos and legacy flights
