The following statics were removed from the list:

2 x USN F-5s
2 x USMC F-5s
USAF C-17
USAF F-35A
USCG HC-130

Bummer, but we all know the drill by now. Military operations come first.

Yeah, disappointing cancellationS but save for the F-35, I am not surprised. Hurricanes etc. The F-5s were no shows I believe at Abbotsford and Michigan, so I was kinda expecting this.

Today was not too too bad, the drizzle did clear and we even saw the sun at times. Alas despite encouragement from ATC we saw only limited passes beyond the approach to land. Swamp Fox's Crown for best arrival was unchallenged but the MO Mudhens and AZ Vipers did make an effort.

Forecast is grim for tomorrow but who knows.

Oh what?! An A220 is attending the show too?? I did not see that on their website.. Is it static of flying??
I might be regretting canning this and going for Oregon airshow instead for next weekend.
That C5 arrival is slick and crisp. That is my favorite kind of early evening lighting... just mint!
Looking forward for more shots today including the Buffy!

When did the C-5 come in?

Also, where were you to get shots like that?

When did this great Viper show come on? I saw loads of nothing all day, pretty much. FML.

Sucks about the cancellations. Not a surprise either, but still, sucks.

I was shooting from the photopit, arrivals were all on 15.

C-5 came in around 1830, give or take. 1600ish for the vipers.

The A 220 won't be at the show. It just stopped in.

Is that part of the photo pit pass, getting in on Thursday? I didn't know that.

Is the MO Mudhens you're talking about that single Strike Eagle that came in mid-afteroon? I wouldn't say it made an effort. There was no go-around or anything.

As for the Vipers, they did two passes, but no burners and they didn't go past the fence. I would say that was a minimum effort at most.

I'm assuming a bunch of stuff is coming in today; otherwise, the show is going to be thinner than Twiggy on a starvation diet!

A 2nd one came in later in the day and it did one missed approach.

Tower is definately trying! Always asking aircraft if they want to full stop or do some missed approaches.
