It's a pretty good view. Pretty much all the areas along there are good. You'd never have to leave there either because there are private bathrooms in the area as well as dedicated concessions.

BUFF (B-52 Stratofortress) added, sounds like static only?

Per the email I received today, there's going to be a Ft Wayne 122nd Fighter Wing "lineage Flight." Says it will comprise of course, starting with an A-10, F-16 (excited to hear where the Viper will be from), F-100, F-86, and P-51. That ought to be pretty cool to see.
Not much info on static yet B-1B, A-10, F-16, T-6 Texan II. I'm excited to be going to this show for the first time ever.

This is always one of the best performances at the show. Always great to see the lineage of the base.Djack wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 12:27 am Per the email I received today, there's going to be a Ft Wayne 122nd Fighter Wing "lineage Flight." In other news, Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing's B-25 "Miss Mitchell" has also been added to the lineup along with the Commemorative Air Force Gulf Coast Wing's B-17 "Texas Raiders"

I have to assume these aren't in formation, just one after the other right?Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 1:41 amThis is always one of the best performances at the show. Thunderbirds support C-17 Arrives June 6 @ 14:00
Thunderbirds arrive June 6 @ 15:00.....land by 15:45
Media flight 17:45
Practice June 7 scheduled for 14:00
No info on other arrivals but will probably the afternoon of the 6th.
Other statics not reported so far
UPS 757, KC-135(usually from Grissom), C130, T34, T38, Helos from USCG(no types given)
If you are coming I would recommend looking at the map on the website and approach from the south...you will be able to park in a field where you can walk onto the base...all other lots will be riding a school bus in....it a short distance but inconvenient.

Sorry this has taken me awhile to respond, it has been crazy as we are in the heart of the season. Yes, it is essentially a parade.
Some more statics have been added, including a C-17 Globemaster III. The website hasn't been updated yet but there will be more than just the few listed on there. It should be updated soon.
Weather forecast is improving, should be a great one.
On a sad note, the F-86 had to cancel.

Has anybody had luck shooting this airshow from outside the show grounds? Looking at the event map, it appears you’re staring straight into the sun for the bulk of the event. If there’s nowhere to be but inside, then I’ll be inside. Just wondering, though.

This one slipped through the cracks, sorry. The Bier Garten is located immediately behind the box seats.
It's kind of hard to view from the outside because the terminal is on the other side and you would have limited views and probably have to pay for parking. Some roads will be shut down near the base and airport for the event (and more closures once the Thunderbirds fly).jacobchgo9 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:21 pm Has anybody had luck shooting this airshow from outside the show grounds?
