It's gotta be the Arrows now considering they made this post around the same time the team announced they will be prepared to release the schedule. The Viper Demo just announced it's Gary, IN replacement as Lakeland, FL. Only other major military performer I can think of is the Navy TAC Demo but Lemoore and Oceana are happening that same weekend where both teams are stationed at. Unless they happen to get a Navy Legacy Flight with a Whidbey Growler.

Red Arrows confirmed for Oregon, as per ICAS!

Looks like all the west coast fans that may be disappointed about them not attending Abbotsford will be able to head south in September. I definitely will be!

Same here. After the fun I had in Hillsboro Oregon last year, I was going back regardless, even if the Reds weren't going to be there, but this is a huge bonus.

I cant agree with you both anymore. This is an awesome show with an awesome venue. I have been coming here for years, love how close you can get to planes and performers. this one show my wife loves coming to as well. What a great year 2019 is shaping up to be :) :D

When do tickets go on sale for the Oregon International Airshow? Really want to make sure I'm guaranteed good sightlines!

Thanks in advance!

Just received some bad news, the airshow will be moving to McMinnville Airport this year due to runway construction at Hillsboro. While this might be fine for the casual viewer, MMV's runway is quite a bit shorter than HIO so that'll probably eliminate military statics and also MMV is not good for light which will take away the draw for photogs. Looking on the bright side however we still have an airshow and I guess thats what counts.

Yup, and after reading the above I frankly am 60-40 leaning towards going from a solid 100.

At least tickets come out in June and the Red Arrows + F-35 Demo are still coming. If they weren't, I'd not go...

It's nice to have a personal perspective on this after visiting both places last year, but I'd certainly be disappointed if it was a regular show for me. On the other hand, can you imagine them cancelling on the Reds if they didn't have McMinnville as an alternate? That'd suck even worse

Very true, it definitely puts things in perspective.
