One thing on the Airventure site that is not accurate is that the Canadian Warplane Heritage Firefly announced yesterday will not be coming. That info comes straight from the museum. They will be sending one or two other aircraft though.
I saw that discussion, and people throwing heavy accusations. It was said on the webinar that one Firefly is planned and another is possible. A far cry from promising it will be done in time.

Of course, like 1/3rd of the aircraft listed in general will fail to show. It's just how it goes!

Yeah, I don't see the point in throwing accusations. I haven't been disappointed by anything at Airventure yet. Some planes don't make it, that doesn't mean there was false advertising. Stuff happens.

This article on the EAA website made it sound like both are confirmed to be there. I think that's where the frustration of that particular poster came from:

Ah, yeah that's more off base than the webinar but as you said I think AirVenture has earned the benefit of the doubt here. I seriously doubt anyone is using the second Firefly as the deciding factor to attend anyway

Thanks for all of the info on the schedule!
Is there any expectations of an appearance by a B-2 or a B-52?

Also, can people that are driving in camp at the airport?

Thanks,
Andrew

No rumors or announced plans about a B-2 or B-52. I'd be surprised if one shows up.

Camp Scholler is the EAA campground for people driving in, and there are other private campgrounds in the area. I have not camped, but there is a lot of information you need to know before camping there so make sure to go to EAA's website and read the camping guide

Alot of that depends on what you want to see. Thursday should be great this year with all of the P-51's. Usually a lot of locals head there on Saturday so it can be pretty packed.

If you're going to attend Saturday, that's one of the best reasons for camping on the grounds IMHO. Last year we worked our way to the entrance of Boeing Plaza during the night show, parked there to catch the fireworks and wall of fire, and then grabbed our gear and hauled a$$ to the gate. We were sitting in Camp Scholler having a cold one ten minutes later while the rest of the crowd waited to get to and out of the parking lots.

EAA posted on Facebook that the New York ANG is bringing a LC-130 Hercules!

Milwaukee is still listing a B-2 flyby for Saturday the 27th. I can't imagine that they'd skip making a pass over OSH as well.
