Golden Knights C-31A status?

Greetings all,

A friend of mine noted that the Golden Knights were utilizing the C-147A this weekend at the Kansas City airshow.

I know that one of the Fokker C-31s (85-1607) was withdrawn from service last September.

I was curious if anyone knew what the current status was of the second C-31 (85-1608). Is it still being utilized this season?

Cheers
John

Good question, I know that 607 is now at the Pima museum but I have not heard about 608. I miss the double doors :(

A few weeks ago at the Dayton Air Show, the Golden Knights were one of the performers and they were flying a C-31 which I would assume would have to be 85-1608. I would have to go back and double check my photos. I went to Andrews earlier this year and they were flying the C-147A. I don't recall which Golden Knight's team was involved at each show so I am not sure if the aircraft are tied to that.

Thanks for that info Eric

It's good to know that the C-31 is still being used to some extent.

Good point on which team potentially utilizing which aircraft (if that is a consideration)

Cheers
John

Good afternoon everyone

I've been in contact with the Knights.

They only have a few shows left in the venerable Fokker

Below is where you can catch her before she retires

27-29 July 2019 -- Milwakee Air & Water Show-Milwakee,WI (I will be an aircrew member during this demo)
21 August 2019 -- Thunder over the Boardwalk -Atlantic City, NJ
24-25 August -- Pocono Airshow-Pocono, PA (First Airshow ever performed at a NASCAR track)
30 August-02 Sept -- Cleveland Airshow-Cleveland, OH
28-29 Sept 2019 --Yeager Airport ANG Airshow- Charleston, WV

Let's get out there and give her a final wave!

Cheers!
John

I got a final ride in GK608 today, and also an update on her farewell tour. After Cleveland she will be going to the Grissom show next weekend and then a non-airshow event (I think they said a PGA event) before heading to AMARG. Apparently they will attempt to sell her off from there. The air crews and jumpers have already autographed a couple panels near the cockpit. The pilots said she has 17k hours on her which isn't that bad I wouldn't think.

Door seat with both sides open sure is a rush!
