Great news for fans of the Polish historic jets, as in the very near future the European Airshow circuit will be enriched with a number of unique Polish historic jets!

(SBLim-2 / 006)
We already shared the news about the Polish SBLim-2 that took off for the first time in years on the 19th of December 2019. Soon after the first flight, it was announced that the new owner is planning to display it on a number of airshows in 2020 both in Poland and abroad. This will be the Fourth airworthy Mig-15 family aircraft in Europe!

(Lim-2 / 602)
Not long after the first flight of the SBLim-2 it was announced that the team also acquired the Lim-2 single-seat fighter version of the SBLim-2 (MiG-15bis built under license in Poland) and is in a process of Returning it to the airworthy condition. When completed this will be the Only airworthy Mig-15bis in Europe! Follow SBLim-2.pl for more up to date information.

(PZL-Mielec TS-11 Iskra Bis D / 1402)
On the 28th of February, the Fundacja Biało-Czerwone Skrzydła (The White and Red Wings Foundation) the owner of the only Airworthy civilian TS-11 Iskra (1214) in Europe have announced that they have acquired yet another TS-11 Iskra which will join their fleet this year! They hope to be performing formation aerobatics on both of their Iskras as soon as August this year during the Gdynia Aerobaltic Airshow 2020. PZL TS-11 Iskra although still in service with the Polish Air force is being successively retired and replaced with more modern Leonardo M-346 Bielik. It is rumored that the last Iskra will be retired as early as 2021 and thanks to the Foundations like this we will be able to enjoy the sight and sound of those jets for the years to come.
