I arrived to the airport about 30 minutes after the crash. Emergency lights at the end of the runway are never a good sign. Watched the medevac lift off and take him away not knowing if he was going to make it.

Very glad that it sounds like he'll pull through, but he had some pretty major injuries so hopefully his recovery is a full one.

I also have to give a shout out to Jordan Brown and Matt Throckmorton. Once the word got out, they hopped in a King Air and flew from Terre Haute to Cleveland to get Billy's wife then took her straight to Atlanta, landing at 2am.

Update on Billy Werth's condition.
Billy Werth‘s health continues to improve, but he is still in the ICU. For those who did not know, Billy was involved in an accident just over two weeks ago in the Atlanta area and has been hospitalized. The GoFundMe page set up by family friend Katie Alisa Wilson is still up and receiving donations to assist with the mounting medical bills that will continue as Billy recovers. Billy’s wife Courtney has not been able to visit him the past couple of days due to a return to COVID19 restrictions on hospitals in the state of Georgia. She has been keeping us all informed on her personal Facebook page. Here’s a portion of the update Courtney posted this morning:

Billy Update Sunday June 28:

He is doing good. He starts his breathing trials today to get off the ventillator. Basically they have to ween him off oxygen slowly to the point were the machine is in but not pumping oxygen to his lungs. If they go well he might be off completely tomorrow.

So we hope that works. He will need speech therapy to help him get back his voice.

They also said he was opening his eyes a little more today so thats good. Still on lockdown so no visits.
