Bill Cornick Passed Away

Post by n33d4sp33d_85 » Wed Sep 09, 2020 1:51 am

GONE WEST

Bill Cornick, one of our industry's most experienced pilots and mentors passed away peacefully yesterday, surrounded by his family. Bill began flying in the U.S. Air Force in 1953. After serving for a decade in the military, he flew as a charter, instructor, and corporate pilot. Joining United Airlines in 1965, Bill retired as a Captain on Boeing 757's and 767's at the age of 60.

As a veteran air show performer, Bill thrilled crowds in the Western United States for over 25 years. He was a National Aerobatic Judge and an "ACE" (Air Show Competency Evaluator). He was also a "Master Flight Instructor" as well as a "Master Flight Instructor-Aerobatics" with the National Association of Flight Instructors and the International Aerobatic Club.

Beyond his incredible talents, his smile, laugh, and generosity will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.
