I've heard rumors that the group would disband entirely and rumors that they lost the Geico sponsorship but will continue to pursue a new sponsor. I don't know IF either is true but they are certainly keeping a low profile for the time being.
There is another team of skytypers on the west coast which are not sponsored by Geico; some people have been seeing their posts and incorrectly assuming they are the east coast team without Geico sponsorship.

Definitely fell victim to that myself, and it makes sense if you were never aware of the west coast team. But the silence doesn't help with the speculation. Often times misinformation gets spread because the right information isn't available. I wish somebody involved, the team, the Skytypers organization, even GEICO, would say something.

Looks like the rumors were true. I asked their #2 pilot and he confirmed that they’re no longer performing, unfortunately.

soooo maybe the end of the GEICO Skytypers aren't true?
Apparently they are confirmed performers of the Greenwood Lake Airshow and Jones Beach Airshow. I suspected they were performing at Greenwood Lake after they (Greenwood Lake) posted a photo of the Skytypers as their profile picture on Facebook and Instagam. And the Skytypers are also listed for Greenwood Lake via the ICAS Airshow Calendar.

if you look in the comments you'll see that Greenwood Lake said Skytpers are confirmed for Jones Beach and Greenwood Lake
someone correct me if this is somehow wrong

They were at the Jones Beach airshow without the geico sponsorship and have went back to the original name of skytypers airshow team.

According to Zinger Aviation Media:
Based at Republic Airport (KFRG) and led by Larry Arken, Long Island's own Skytypers Airshow Team (formerly known as GEICO Skytypers) took the stage over the Jones Beach State Park for their final performance at Jones Beach. The team will be making one more airshow appearance in 2022. I will not be covering that airshow and will fly some skytyping missions but no more airshows. You will continue to see at least one of the Skytypers' SNJ-2 Texans in airshows as Skytypers pilot Chris Thomas intends to fly a solo routine.
Some of the pilots that are apart of this group posted on their personal Facebook that they retired after performing at the Jones Beach Airshow.

They do have a Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/Skytypers-Air- ... 139131581/
Note: I'm not sure if it is their official Facebook page or not.
