The U.S. Capitol Building was briefly evacuated at about 6:30 pm tonight after a “probable threat” from an aircraft. The plane turned out to be the US Army Golden Knights’ UV-18 Twin Otter, which was carrying the team to the Washington Nationals Park for their pregame demonstration. The threat was cleared soon after. Apparently, there was some miscommunication about the flight with the Capitol Police. The plane coordinated with ATC and did not violate the no-fly zone over the Capitol.
